ThursdayTraversing the Andes onto the Andean plateau in Peru by luxury train is not something you experience every day. The Andean Explorer takes you from the mystical Cusco, navel of the world, to Puno in elegance and comfort. It also brings travellers close to nature, as it has an observation coach from which you can enjoy the majestic scenery encountered along the way.
The route is one of the most beautiful in the world and the trip lasts almost eleven hours. Between Wanchaq station and Puno the train includes dining cars designed after the fashion of the Pullman cars of the nineteen twenties.
