At the feet of the 'Carmen Mamacha', the town of Paucartambo bursts with hullabaloo, while locals and tourists get fervourous in a festival that mixes the Andean and Spanish worlds, with demons running through the streets and dancers who give their best steps to their patron protector.
Day 1
Private transfer from Cusco to Paucartambo (folkloric capital of Cusco). On the way, you will visit the Chullpas of Ninanmarka. This day begins with the ringing of bells and fireworks, followed by the interpretation of songs in charge of a marching band and taking the holy candles to the temple. In the afternoon, you will see several groups of dancers and visit the town of Paucartambo. During the evening, be transfer to the camping site.
Day 2
Have breakfast and depart to Paucartambo. Begin the second day of celebration attending the mass of blessing with our guide. The second procession takes place in the afternoon along the Carlos III Bridge, where the Virgin imparts her grace to the four ¨Suyos¨ (Inca regions). At the end of the procession, the spectacular dance battle between the "Qollas" group of the Andes and the "Antis" of the jungle takes place. The return to Cusco will be at 4 pm arriving at your hotel between 8 and 8:30 pm.
