Once installed enjoy lunch and begin the afternoon excursions, which include a walk through the trail system to observe the varied vegetation, insects and birds surrounding the lodge. At night, while sipping a welcome cocktail and dinner, participate in an introduction about the nature of the area presented by the guides of the lodge.
During the morning, visit Lake Sandoval in the Tambopata National Reserve, home to many endangered species. Return to the hotel for lunch. When finished, visit the Inkaterra Canopy, a network of seven 45 meters high suspension bridges. Participate in a presentation on different topics of the Amazon during the evening and enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Explore the jungle along the winding Gamitana Creek, home to piranhas, alligators, turtles and birds, until Sanipanga. After lunch, head to Hacienda Concepción, to see more than 200 different plant species, and learn about current uses and benefits of local flora. Finally, head back to the lodge to enjoy dinner.
Enjoy breakfast before departure. A 45-minute ride by boat across the Madre de Dios River takes you back to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport after this visit.
