This activity invites the participants to explore the living culture of Ollantaytambo from their perspective, through photography, being assisted by a professional photographer. The venture begins with a presentation of the experience in the Ollantaytambo square after which the participants are transferred to the Pakaritampu pyramid, from where they will have an excellent view of the landscape and the valley. Upon return, participants visit the town of Ollantaytambo, continuously inhabited since Inca times, to explore its historic streets, meet its inhabitants and portray colours, architecture and the environment in photos. Finally, the group visits a "chicheria" to observe the process of preparation of chicha while sharing moments with the manufacturers of this craft drink, who will explain the history and importance of these centres in the Andean world. These places were declared National Patrimony for their cultural significance and conservation of tradition.
When carrying out this activity, each passenger will be contributing to the Wallata Touristic Development Plan for the town and district of Ollantaytambo. The project aims to ensure the destination´s sustainability as 'Inca Living Village', collaborating with the sustainable, economic and social development of the community and helping to conserve the cultural and natural heritage they witnessed during the day.
